scanner.weareabs.com is run by ABS (weareabs.com). It maps the internet-facing systems of organisations that have asked us to, and checks them for known weaknesses.

Why it contacted you

We scan a system only when a customer has told us it is theirs and has given us written authorization to scan it. Each scan is tied to that authorization, and we keep the record. If we reached your network, one of our customers named an address or a domain that leads to it.

What we send

• TLS handshakes, to read certificates;
• HTTP requests that read pages, and never write, upload or delete;
• connection attempts to check whether a port is open.

We send nothing that changes data, logs in, guesses passwords or tries to exploit a weakness, and we keep the request rate low. HTTP requests carry a User-Agent starting EASM-Platform that links back to this page.

To make it stop

Email abuse@weareabs.com with the addresses or domains concerned and, if you have them, the times you saw the traffic. We answer within one working day. If the system is not our customer's, we stop scanning it while we check the authorization, and we will tell you what we found.
